Dot Wine began as a dare between husband and wife. Shawn challenged Lise to create her own "perfect Pinot Noir," and she accepted with one condition: "It’ll cost you." That playful challenge turned into a labor of love. Inspired by the simplicity and purity of a dot in art, Dot Wine reflects the direct translation of vineyard to bottle. Sourcing exceptional fruit from top-tier vineyards, Dot Wine embraces minimal intervention to showcase the beauty of each vintage. Every bottle celebrates the imperfect margins of life, offering small, limited-production wines with a true sense of place. Today, Dot Wine includes a dry rosé, two Pinot Noirs, and a Chardonnay, with more to come—all crafted with the same care and intention as that first dare.

Her career has taken her to some of California’s most renowned wine brands, where she managed every acre of vineyard with precision, sustainability, and a deep respect for the land. Lise approaches winemaking like a viticulturist—capturing the essence of the vineyard in every bottle and letting the grapes tell their story. Inspired by a dare from her husband Shawn to create her own Pinot Noir, Lise poured her expertise and passion into what would become Dot Wine.
